Ingredients (for 4 portions)

4tbsps            Oil

30g                 Minced Dried Shrimp

100ml             Coconut Milk

4nos               Eggs, hardboiled and peeled

2 pieces         Tau Kwa, cut into quarter triangles and deep fried

400g               Compressed Rice Cakes, cut into cubes

600g               Sayuer Lodeh

Crispy Fried Shallots


  1. In a braising pot, heat oil and fry the dried shrimps till fragrant. Add coconut milk and bring to boil.
  2. Add the rest of ingredients except rice cakes. Bring to boil and simmer briefly. Check seasoning.
  3. Divide rice cakes in serving bowls. Fill each bowl with vegetable stew and sprinkle some fried shallots before serving.
